So, pretty much everyone except me knew my BFF, Amy and her family were coming from Memphis to be at the Great Strides Walk and then take a mini vacation to the mountains. What a fabulous surprise! They just showed up in our driveway on the Friday before the walk. Chris and Amy had been in cohoots for months, and no one spilled the beans. I couldn't believe it! Conner and Alli played super well together. It was nice they could entertain each other.
We left for the mountains the Sunday after the walk and stayed through Wed. Our cabin was nice once we cleaned it...that's another story. We hiked, shopped, putt-putted, raced, rode rides, took the kids to a water park, and ate and ate! It was a good trip. It was nice to get away even if I didn't know a thing about it! It's nice to know that no matter the length of time that goes between Amy and I seeing each other, we can just pick up where we left off. I miss seeing her everyday.
