Quiet week, but I'm not complaining

This week has been pretty quiet. It also went by really quickly. We are all well in the Sielicki household...I think we are going on 2 weeks now! We are getting closer and closer to Alli's first birthday (a little over 2 weeks away)! Hooray!! Chris has been working on making a toy box for her. I'll post pictures when it's done. I was looking back at pictures and can't believe how much Alli has changed in the past year.

Boy, how our lives have changed...for the better, of course!!

No More Commando

Alli has finally decided to crawl normally instead of like a commando on her tummy! She isn't quite walking on her own, but is cruising the furniture with style. She'll let go occasionally, but as soon as she realizes she isn't holding on to anything, she grabs for the first thing in front of her. She's a whiz on her scooter and can even steer! She's been walking behind it pushing it very well! Her vocabulary now consists of: :"Da-da", "Ma-ma", "Bye-Bye", "Uh-oh", "Hey", "Pa-pa", and we're still working on "Hey Baby". She is also blowing kisses, which is too cute!
Alli is feeling much better. She has finally cleared her ear infection. Hopefully, she'll stay healthy for a while. So, we're all finally well now!
It seems like things have leveled out...not so much drama which is a good thing. We certainly needed things to calm down. It had been crazy there for a while (see other posts).
We're way ahead of things this year...we have already done our taxes and gotten our refunds. Yay for refunds! Sounds like we're lucky we did because the state of SC may not have enough money to cover all the tax refunds...imagine that? Great job Governor Sanford! I won't even get started on him...

We made it

Well, we lived through January. So far, February has been better...not the best, but better (anything would have been better than last month!).
Alli's ear infection didn't clear up all the way, se we are on our second round of antibiotics. We go back to the pediatrician tomorrow for an ear check. Hopefully, she'll be better. Chris and I are both well and will hopefully stay that way, but with the wacky weather, who knows?
Alli will be 11 months old on Sunday. She's really getting to be a big girl. She's pulling up on everything and walking around holding on to things. I don't think it will be long before she's walking alone...more like running. I'm starting to plan her 1st birthday party. We are going to do an Old MacDonald theme...since that is her favorite song.
The car looks much better. We got it back last week after the fender bender in Florida. Chris was glad he didn't have to drive the rental aka the"homo-mobile" anymore. No more duct taped bumper! Although the bumper and the quarter panel now look much more shiney than the rest of car.
How about this weather? Crazy huh? 70's in February. I've been kind of disappointed this year. It hasn't been all that cold, and we haven't had any snow. The bugs are going to be horrible this year.
Has anyone been at the post office lately? It's 20 questions. And now, stamps are going up 2 cents again. How ridiculous!
