After a long 9 months of dance, we made it through to the recital! Alli's group danced to "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini." Mimi, Papa, Gigi, and Pappy all came up for the big day! The girls did a great job, although these last 3-4 months have been rough...she just wasn't all that into dance, so we probably won't be back. Alli even got a trophy for dancing for 1 year! She's quite proud of her trophy!
Since Chris was off the past week and a half since he was changing jobs (he now works for First South Bank, a SC community bank)...we decided to spend a long weekend in Charleston. We don't have many weekends left since Pedro will be here in July. The weather wasn't as warm as we had hoped for, considering it's been so warm lately. There was a tropical storm off the coast that was churning and gave us cloudy, cool, and windy weather...although it never rained! We spent the day on Friday downtown, then spent Saturday on the beach. Even though Alli couldn't get in the ocean, she was content with hunting for shells, playing in the sand, and having a picnic on the beach.
