Strawberry Picking

Over the weekend, Alli and I went to Hunter Farms in Easley to once again go strawberry picking.  The crop is ready early this year, and they are very sweet and delicious!  Again this year, Alli enjoyed "sampling."  Along with Alli eating them in her lunch every day and me having them on ice cream at night.  I have found a few recipes to try with these:
Strawberry Muffins:

I made these last night, and like a lot of the other reviewers, I substituted the 1/2 cup of white sugar with 1/4 brown sugar and 1/4 cup white sugar.  I also reduced the amount of flour to 1 1/2 cups, and added 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.  I also topped them with sugar for extra crunch on top.  They were delicious!  Alli and I both had a yummy muffin for breakfast!
Strawberry Freezer Jam:

I also made this last night and it was super easy.  It tastes super good too!
Strawberry Trifle:

I'm planning on making this tonight...I still have to bake the angel food cake!  I can't wait!

The rest of the berries will probably end up in Alli's tummy!
