We've been pretty busy around our house. We've had a good Spring so far, and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Pedro. Last weekend, Chris and I brought all of the baby stuff down from the attic to see what we'll need. It was fun to see all that stuff again. Unfortunately, a few things didn't make it, I guess because of the heat up there. I am now 25 weeks! Things are still looking good. This pregnancy has been a lot different. I guess I just figured since they are both girls, the pregnancies would be the same. I have almost gained 10 lbs, and barely look pregnant. I'm not complaining, but I don't really care for being in that "in-between" stage of where people can't tell if I'm pregnant or have a beer gut. I'm still too small for maternity clothes, but can't button my pants, so whoever invented the Bella Band was definitely a woman! I have the yucky glucose test at the next appt. Fingers crossed that goes well.
Alli recently had her 4-year old check-up, and after the flu shot, I was not looking forward to it probably more so than her. When we got there, they took her height (40-in; 61st percentile) and weight (41.5lbs-86th percentile). They also took her blood pressure for the 1st time, and she was ok with that. Then, comes the finger prick, and Alli went nut-so. She was NOT a happy camper after that. When the doctor came in, she proceeded to tell him how unhappy she was with "that woman who made me bleed." Dr. Wilson said she was still as healthy as a horse. Then, "that woman" came back with the 4 dreaded shots...let's just say it took 3 of us to hold Alli down. Once we got out of the office, she was fine, and happy to know she doesn't have anymore shots (except yearly flu) until she's 12!
Alli had a great Easter weekend...Mimi and Papa came up and had lunch with us at Alli's favorite restaurant, Midtown Deli. She then went home to Columbia with them to participate in their church's Easter Egg hunt. Alli had a great time there...she found 100 eggs (no, that's not a typo) and she also found the "golden egg" so, she won a Target giftcard (she bought a Barbie with a bike). She also won a large jar of jelly beans for guessing the closest amt. Alli came home with a gallon size bag filled with candy and a large jelly bean jar...just from the egg hunt. Gigi and Pappy and Mimi and Papa also had Easter treats for her along with the Easter Bunny. We have enough candy at our house to do us for a while.
