We have had a crazy month of August. We tried to cram so much in before Alli started school. For vacation, we drove about 1800 miles...crazy, I know! We went to Hilton Head via Memphis. We haven't been back to see our friends from Memphis since Alli was about 18 months old, and thought it was about time to make a visit. We also made a little stop to visit friends in Birmingham on our way. The girls did great considering being in the car for so long. It was also Lauren's first trip to the beach. She LOVED the sand and she even liked to be held in the ocean, but was not fond of standing in the water herself. The downside of the trip was that Chris was stung by a jellyfish, but the stinging only lasted for a short time.
While in Memphis, we visited the zoo and spent some time with our friends. While at Hilton Head, we were literally on the beach everyday we were there.
